Family Resource Centers

Solano's Family Resource Centers (FRCs) are neighborhood-based agencies dedicated to supporting families and strengthening communities. The centers offer a welcoming space for families to access information, learn about available services, connect with other families, and participate in community activities. Open to all families, regardless of income, Solano's FRCs are here to help you thrive.

Family Resource Center Services ​​

  • Information and Referral Services

  • Parent education classes, life skills workshops or support groups

  • Family-friendly activities, community events and resource fairs

  • Computer/internet access for job search, resume assistance

  • Linkages to health and social service programs

  • In-home visitation services for families with children ages 0-5

  • Resource libraries of parenting books and videos

  • Volunteer/community service programs

  • Basic needs - Family Strengthening Fund

While all Solano FRCs provide these core services, each FRC is unique to the community it serves, offering additional services ranging from mentoring programs to food pantries. Contact your local FRC for more information.

Dixon Family Services

 

Dixon Family Services is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all families and individuals in our diverse community. Intervention and support services are bolstered by collaboration with local schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations. Please note, walk-in services or emergency assistance are not available. To access services, please make an appointment. Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District

 

Since 1995, Fairfield-Suisun Family Resource Centers have provided targeted support services, focusing on improving family dynamics for households with children ages 0-18. In collaboration with community partnerships, the centers offer essential resource and referral services to help families thrive. With three locations in Fairfield and Suisun City elementary schools, the centers are easily accessible and effective in serving vulnerable populations. Rio Vista CARE

 

Rio Vista CARE, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) counseling and family resource center, serves Delta towns and rural areas as the region’s sole low-cost professional counseling provider for over 30 years. Founded in 1985, Rio Vista CARE offers professional counseling. Services extend to all River Delta Unified School District elementary schools from Courtland to Rio Vista. Vacaville FIRST Office

 

The Vacaville Police Department collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of detectives, social workers, and family support workers to address the needs of families, senior citizens, and children impacted by family violence. The Family Resource Center (FRC) and the Special Victims Unit (SVU) work together to provide comprehensive support. Operating on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the teams are dedicated to enhancing community safety and well-being. For more information, please contact them directly.

Fighting Back Partnership

 

Fighting Back Partnership, a 501c3 nonprofit, is dedicated to ending poverty's effects in Vallejo and Solano County by addressing systemic issues like racism, poverty cycles, food deserts, education, and wage disparities. They provide crisis support, economic development, and initiatives to increase safety, eliminate blight, and reduce youth alcohol and tobacco use. Vallejo Family Resource Center (FRC) offers resources and referrals, basic needs and homeless assistance, mentoring, parenting support, and education.
